변화, 새로운 변화 
경기도 가평에 계획했던 Resort style의 오피스텔(Officetel)이다. 푹 쉴까? 신나게 즐길까? 현대인들의 새로운 여가문화를 반영하고자 하는 새로운 감성공간이고자 했다. 개성을 중시하고 남과 다른 것 만으로도 하나의 가치로 여기는 시대를 반영한 공간구성이다. Kitchen과 Dining Bar를 거실전면에 배치하고 Wine cellar를 좀 더 드러나게 하였다. 거실과 단(段)차이를 주었고 거친 마감의 돌이 그 단 차이를 메꾼다. 천장에 매달려 있는 가구는 파티션 겸 Library이다. 책에서는 지적인 냄새와 은은한 향기가 난다. 유년기에 접했던 책에 대한 기억이 아직도 따듯하게 남아있는 이유 일 것이다. 책을 통해 우리의 삶이 좀 더 여유로워지고 삶의 질이 좋아진다면 디자인의 중심에 서지 못 할 이유가 없다. 디자인을 통해 인간의 삶의 질이 향상될 수 있을까? 이러한 메시지를 통해 즐겁고 건강한 일상의 생활문화를 제시하고 싶었다.
 

Change, New transformation 
The resort style-officetel (Korean-style studio apartment) is located in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province. Relax or Enjoy? Black Suite is a uniquely ambient space aiming to reflect new leisure culture of people today. The space configuration encapsulates the era where individuality is appreciated and a person’s uniqueness is recognized as a value. The kitchen and dining bar are placed in the foreground of the living space with a slight emphasis on the wine cellar. We introduced level change to the living room, where a roughly finished stone fills in the transition. Furniture hanging down from the ceiling functions as a partition as well as a library. Books carry a smell of intellect and a subtle aroma. This should be why our childhood memories with books still hold warmth. If we could accomplish a more laid back life and improve our life quality through books, there is no reason not to set them in the center of design. Can the quality of people’s lives be enhanced through design? Through these types of messages, we wanted to suggest a healthy and joyful culture of everyday life.
