서울 강북구 우이동 80,000㎡ 부지에 들어선 이곳은, 2010년 최고 7층 높이의 콘도14개동 총332실로 지어질 예정이었다. 그러나 시행사 부도와 시공사 00건설의 법정 관리.. 등 악재가 겹치며 2012년 공사가 중단되었었다. 이후 2019년 서울시와 강북구의 ‘파인트리(Finetree) 사업 정상화 계획’에 따라 공사가 재개되었다. 우리는 스탠다드차타드(Standard Chartered)은행의 의뢰에 따라 넓은 통창과 발코니가 있는 콘도의파사드 및 저층 입면을 자연과 어우러지게끔 리모델링하였고, 북한산 국립공원 자락에 위치한 만큼 빼어난 북한산 풍광을 배경으로, 입구부터 호텔까지 산책하듯 조경 동선을 만들어나갔다. 또한 서울을 크게 벗어나지 않고도 휴식을 취할 수 있으며 자연에 둘러싸여 도심 속 힐링을 만끽할 수 있는 리조트형 호텔을 기획하였다. 서정적인 서가(book shelf)의 모습을 컨셉으로 책의 지적 감성을 호텔 로비의 주된 키워드로 삼았다. 높은 층고의 수직의 힘을 기둥의 버티컬 디자인으로 살리면서 메자닌 층인 가로 벽면 그곳에, 행잉 선반을 이용해 책의 퍼포먼스가 이어져 나가게 했다. 사람과 자연이 잘 어울리는 공간에서 내원객에게 감성적인 시를 담은 책 한권을 보여주고 여유 있게 읽어보는 시간을 가져보도록 권하고 싶은 것이다. 이러한 레이아웃은 감성적 코드와 함께 공간에 운율감을 더해서 좋을듯하다. 직선을 강조한 공간 속에 부드러운 곡선의 소파는 그린 벨벳의 소재로 레트로 감성을 나타내고 세련됨과 고급스러운 이미지를 더했다고 보면 될 것이다. 2024년 현재는 새로운 명칭으로 ‘파라스파라 서울’이라는 이름을 달았으며.. 새로운 디자인과 함께 신세계 그룹 조선호텔이 위탁관리 운영하고 있는 중이다. 서울 안에 서울이 아닌듯한 곳. 사계절 아름다운 풍경으로 둘러싸인 리조트를 즐기고 싶은 분들은 한번쯤 방문해도 좋은 곳이다.





This site, nestled on a 80,000m2 location in Ui-dong, Gang-buk-gu, Seoul was set for development in 2010. The plan included 14 condominium buildings, each reaching 7 stories high with a total of 332 units. However, a series of misfortunes, including bankruptcy of the development company and legal issues with the construction firm, led to the suspension of the project in 2012. It wasn’t until 2010, under the ‘FineTree Revitalization Plan’ by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Gangbuk-gu, that the construction resumed. On behalf of Standard Chartered Bank, we were commissioned to remodel the facade and ground-level entrance of the condominium. The entrance featured expansive windows and balconies that harmonized with nature. Situated on the outskirts of Bukhansan National Park, we aimed to highlight the scenery of Bukhansan as a background and by creating landscape routes from the entrance to the hotel. Additionally, residents can enjoy a peaceful retreat surrounded by the wilderness without venturing far from Seoul, experiencing a healing sanctuary embraced within the cityscape. We designed an immersive resort-style hotel for guests. Taking inspiration from the elegance of a library shelf, we made intellectual sophistication the primary theme of the hotel lobby. Embracing the vertical energy of high ceilings and pillar-like vertical designs, we continued the mezzanine floor by integrating hanging shelves that seamlessly flows like literary performances. We aim to show our guests a poetic book filled with emotion and invite them to leisurely immerse themselves in a place where humans and nature harmonize beautifully. This layout, enhanced with emotional qualities with a sense of cadence, adds to the overall lyrical quality of the space. The gentle curves of the sofa in a space emphasizing straight lines are upholstered in green velvet, embodying retro vibes while adding sophistication and a luxurious appearance. As of 2024, the space has been given a new name ‘Paraspara Seoul’ with a fresh design that is outsourced, entrusted, and managed by Shinsegae Group’s Chosun Hotel. This place is worth visiting at least once for those who wish to enjoy a resort surrounded by beautiful landscapes throughout the four seasons.
