건축주는 스페인에서 스페인문학을 전공했다. 이곳은 원래 그녀의 가족이 20년 넘게 함께 살았던 집이었다. 새로운 삶의 터전을 위해 새로운 공간을 만들고 이어가기 위한 담음과 펼침의 공간이 시작한 것이다. 새로운 문화 복합공간의 이야기는 이렇게 시작된 것이다. 1층은 카페, 전시, 공연(음악, 연극)이 함께 가능한 복합공간, 2층은 야외전시도 가능한 갤러리, 전망이 빼어난 3층은 Private 모임이나 소소한 파티를 위해, 임대가 가능하며 세자매가 정성껏 준비해주는 가정식 음식을 제공 받을 수 있다. 지금 이곳은 갤러리 카페로도 불린다. 공연 때 사용하기 위한 피아노도 있고 공연을 관람하면서 차도 즐길 수 있는 곳. 또한 갤러리 작품을 보면서 수려한 평창동 골짜기와 같이 바깥 풍경도 감상 할 수 있는 곳이다. 평창동엔 많은 갤러리와 다양한 예술인이 거주하는 곳이다. 지금 이곳은 일반시민은 물론 음악인, 예술인, 디자이너들이 많이 드나드는 평창동 쉼터가 되었다. 가족들이 함께 준비하는 음악회와 전시의 수준이 매우 높기로 소문이 났기 때문이다. 1층 Hall의 Level down은 공연장으로서의 다양한 변신을 의미한다. 또한, 지하주차장엔 공연세트를 제작할 수 있는 넓은 공간이 마련되어있고 그곳은 1층의 무대대기실과 분장실, 음향조정실, 공연자 전용 화장실… 등과 연결되어 있다. 참고로 339는 도로명주소이고 수에뇨는 스페인어로 ‘꿈에’ 라는 뜻이다.

The client majored in Spanish literature in Spain. The house used to be a home for her and her family for over 20 years. To repurpose the home and mark its new beginning, unfolding and enfolding spaces were introduced to create new spaces. This is how the story of a new cultural space began. The 1st floor is a multi-functioning area for the café, exhibitions, and performances, the 2nd floor is a gallery with outdoor spaces for outside exhibits, and the 3rd floor, which has an outstanding view, can be reserved for private gatherings or parties catered with home-style meals prepared and served by the three sisters. The place is currently known as a gallery café. With a piano for music performances, the place is allows you to have a good cup of tea while enjoying a performance. It is also a place where you can admire the gallery exhibition pieces as well as the beautiful PyeongchangDong valley and mountainscape outside. PyeongchangDong is a home for many galleries and artists. And Sueño has become a haven for citizens, musicians, artists, and designers because of its renowned high level of music concerts and exhibitions prepared and curated by the family. Level down space in the 1st floor hall signifies the various transformations as a performance area. Located in the underground parking lot is a large workshop used to build stage, which is connected to the 1st floor green room, makeup room, and staff restroom, etc. On a side note, 339 is the street address number and ‘sueño’ means ‘dream’ in Spanish.
