| 조선호텔 Suite 무심한 세상에 의미를 부여하는 일이 디자인이라 했다. 이제 디자이너들은 시대의 다양한 요구와 개념들을 수용해야 할 책임이 있다. 또한, 최근의 디자인은 문화의 다양성을 지향하며 남과 구별되는 정체성을 더욱 중요시한다. 조선 Hotel엔 그들만이 가지고 있는 보물이 있다. 고종의 황제 즉위식과 제사를 지냈던 환구단과 네 개의 사대문(四大門)과 네 개의 사소문(四小門) 외에 아홉번째 문이라는 9th Gate가 있다. 창조적인 예술가는 전통을 자기의 것으로 만든다고 한다. 따라서 우리는 전통이란 매력적인 컨텐츠를 최고. 최상의 디자인 원천으로 활용하려는 것이다. 마루와 디딤돌은 이완과 휴식을 위한 체험공간이며 반복되는 한지창호는 위계와 연속성으로 표현되는 우리의 공간질서이다. 변하지 않는 것과 변해만 가는 시대… 모두 새로운 것을 원하는 것 같지만 오히려 오래 전부터 갖고 있던 유일한 기억에 더 많이 감동한다. 그래서 우리는 이곳이 유일한 곳이길 원하지 않는가? 최상의 감성으로 사람들의 영혼을 불러 일으키는 디자인 그 중심엔 물론, 9th Gate가 있다. 그건 시각적인 즐거운 뿐 아니라 세계 최고의 비즈니스 Hotel-조선을 기억시키려는 메시지인 것이다. |
Design is an action of bringing meaning to an indifferent world. Now, designers are responsible for accepting today’s various needs and ideas. Also, in recent designs, cultural diversity is preferred, and unique identities that can stand out from the crowd among others are highly valued. Josun Hotel has their own treasure. Along with ‘Hwangudan’ where Joseon Emperor Gojong’s coronation and memorial was held, 4 ‘Sadaemun’(Four Great Gates) and 4 ‘Sasomun’(Four Small Gates), There is a 9th door called The Ninth Gate. It is told that creative great designers adopt their cultural heritage. Thus, we decided to use this attractive content called tradition, As a highest source of design essence for the project. ‘Maru’(Korean traditional wood flooring) and ‘Didimdol’(Stepping stone) is for a spatial experience of expansion and relaxation. Repetition of ‘Hanji’(Korean handmade paper) frames depicts our spatial order expressed through hierarchy and continuity. Static things and constantly changing era… Everyone seems to want the newest, But they are rather emotionally moved more from old, unique memories. Isn’t that why we want this place to become the one and only? A design that evokes people’s spirits with the highest level of emotion. At the core, there is the Ninth Gate. This is not just for visual pleasure, But a message to make people remember the world’s best business hotel – Josun. |
